The first solo album by the legendary voice of Supertramp, Roger Hodgson. Roger not only sings on this album, but plays almost every instrument as well! Released in 1984.
Roger has personally signed each album. This album is part of the remastered series from Universal Music. The result is a warmer, more "vinyl like" sound quality over the original CD issues.
Had A Dream
Lovers In The Wind
Hooked on a Problem
Give Me Love, Give Me Life

I saw Roger on his final Supertramp tour when he announced leaving the group. My sadness from that announcement quickly vanished when I rushed to get this first solo recording! Such a brilliant album!!! Every single song felt like an instant classic!!! Love live Roger Hodgson!!!!!!

When In The Eye Of The Storm came out, I played it over and over. In addition to being great music to listen to, I was impressed that Roger played almost all the instruments on all tracks. I studied every instrument and part I heard and am still amazed at the creativity, complexity and detail. But in addition to the incredible music, one of the fond connections I have with Roger is that his music often describes his thoughts and his journey at that time in his life - often parallel to the journeys we all take at different stages in life and the music to the lyrics adds even more emotion and meaning. I have friends who always said "Roger's music is ahead of its time". His music is certainly timeless and never gets old. I remember the album as if it came out yesterday! Thank you Roger for sharing your gift and your journey.

Terrific album. Absolute brilliance on the epic "Had a Dream (Sleeping with the Enemy)", and gorgeous piano and songwriting on "Lovers in the Wind".

This is Roger first solo album after Supertramp. A must for anyone that likes Supertramp when Roger was in the band.

I bought my copy of In The Eye Of The Storm back in the early 2000s. For years I had Roger's song Had A Dream (Sleeping With The Enemy) stuck in the back of my mind because I remembered it being his first hit of his solo career after departing Supertramp. When I got my copy of this CD, I actually ordered 2. I got one for my Sis and Brother in Law as well. Hooked On A Problem is a snappy tune on the album. Lovers In The Wind is a rather haunting melody. Give Me Love, Give Me Life is another awesome tune on this recording that really grabs me. I would highly recommend this album as it's a real treat for the ears and senses.
I had the distinct Honor and Privelage of seeing Roger 4 years straight from '05-'08 at an upstart Festival in Southeastern WI that Mother Nature with all her wrath managed to put a stop to this awesome festival. 4 yrs in a row and never disappointed!!

Roger Hodgson's début solo album is a very good choice to anyone who loves music. The playfulness of his musicianship is here, along with beautiful melodies and wistful passages which really represents the talented songwriter. I enjoy all the songs, but my favorite is "I'm Not Afraid". Buy this treasure for your collection!

What can I say about this phenomenal album? It has always been one of my favorites from Roger. Each and every song is a treasure in its own right and a beautifully told story. From the powerful opening track of "Had a Dream" to the mesmerizing closing "Only Because of You," this is one album that never dates itself and sounds as fresh today as when it was released. Any fan of Roger's and/or the band he co-founded, Supertramp, must certainly include "In the Eye of the Storm" in their collection.
